meat is magic

meat on a stick

I know, I’m going to hell, and will most likely arrive at my fiery final destination 5 to 10 years earlier than someone who doesn’t eat meat, but I’m going to go ahead and say it: Vegetarianism is for suckers. You guys are missing out on a huge part of being human, and I am sad for you. Case in point:

http://www.espetus.com

San Francisco’s first Brazillian churrascaria (steakhouse). It’s basically a giant meat buffet, but instead of actually getting up to serve yourself, the ascot-sporting waiters bring skewers of grilled awesomenocity straight to your table! We were delighted to discover a little spinny wheel on our tabletop, green for “Yes, please bring that over here, dude, and put it in my mouth” and red meaning “I’m not full yet, just taking a break”.

At one point, I had FOUR different animals on my plate! Chicken wrapped in bacon, pork loin with parmesan, Top Sirloin, and even lamb (which I’d never tried before and wasn’t all that excited about, to be honest). WOW! Everything was so good, that even when one of the servers brought a skewer of chicken hearts over to us, we couldn’t say no (tastes like chicken). Yum yum.

Don’t get me wrong. They had some tasty tomatoes and couscous and at the end of the evening they even brought out entire grilled pineapples on skewers, but those crazy Brazilians really know how to soften a girl up: MEAT.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled garbanzo beans.
