Time for another slew of movies I want to see but can’t.

I have to admit I had a hard time deciding which to feature first, an art film featuring Will Oldham, or an art film featuring Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Sorry Will, I’ve gotta give it up to JB and KG.

Pick Of Destiny

Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny - Everyone’s favorite greatest rock band on earth is on a mission to find the wicked-shredder Pick of Destiny. I seem to recall Jack Black saying something along the lines of “It may turn out to be a little turd, but at least it’ll be my little turd”

Old Joy - Will Oldham seems to be some sort of crazy in this movie. It claims to be about friendship and two dudes camping out in the forests of Oregon, but I could see Ol’ Will killing Daniel London in the end.

Edmond - Another movie about a kinda shy seeming guy going crazy. Only this time it’s William H Macy in the urban jungle. It seems surprisingly intense.

Sherrybaby - Maggie Gyllenhaal does some fucked up shit in a selfish life while trying to balance the seemingly genuine love for her little daughter.

*Please note, all summaries are based solely on what I could see in the previews. The story may turn out to be totally different.

Somewhere between toiling away on a new at&t commercial called “freshpitality” and walking down the street seeing “Peanutopolis” signs, my world has now been officially bombarded with these mash-up words. Seems like Madison Avenue has run out of taglines and ad copy made up of English. Here’s to the new world. Check out this flickr collection of the Snickers signs.
