Sept. 21 PARKING DAY

In SF on Sept. 21st reclaim your parking spot by making it whatever you want it to be. Melissa I think we should all come up and you can claim a whole block and make a roller derby of it. I’ll bring the aligator pit.

    that is retarded. SF has one of the largest open spaces of any urban city in the country. if this is a statement that there should be less cars in SF, it’s a moot point and is only going to make that day MORE miserable for people who drive in the city. environmental/political statements in the bay area (like critical mass) seem to only be aimed at making everyday life horribly inconvenient for many of its citizens, and have little impact on the people in charge, nor do they seem to effect change.

    while the idea of an entire city block dedicated to a roller derby track does make me a little weak in the knees, i am going to have to agree with chris and say fuck these people.
    they’re probably the same assholes that ride fixed gear bikes and yell obsceneties at people in cars who almost hit them when they run red lights because they can’t stop.

    living in the city is turning me into a real asshole.

    totes lame. there’s no fucking parking to begin with and now this? get over it people. i don’t even own a car and i think this is retarded. maybe there should be a backlash of drivers who decide to make a parking lot of golden gate park where these people love to hang out.
