Ben Frost uses alot of popular retro and modern icons in his art. I think the collage of characters creates an interesting canvas. Recently Ben took the Bambie character from his “Kmart After Dark” painting and created a polyurethane 3D version. The Bambie is a self-regenerating Bambie w/ several Bambie’s falling out of its own ass. Lost yet? just check out the picture above. The crappy thing is that the original one (above) was destroyed during his art opening. Some drunk whore bag fell on it and broke it into 20 pieces.

If Jesus was to buy an MP3 player he would probably buy the “Saint B” MP3. Just based on design. The Saint B is a Flash-Player in a chrome-plated steel body frame. Control elements and OLED-display are covered by flexible, semi-transparent plastic. A log in to the computer and charging are via USB port.
I’m sure Jesus would fill it with bands like Stryper and Unashamed.

I’m the worst person to review a movie b/c I don’t see a lot of movies and I have a particular taste. However, after talking to Madex he convinced me that it’s my duty as a whateves.com member to get some dialog going. So here is my review.
The first half of this movie was good I really liked everything about it. I was really stoked with the music. They were playing 80ish music over montages of Marie buying shoes or eating cake. It kept the movie moving along at a good pace and I was really into it. Also, in the first half of the movie everyone is putting pressure on Marie to have a child with Louie. The child will secure her as queen and keep Austria and France allies. She is doing everything she can (w/ out jumping on Louie) to consummate the marriage. However, he would rather hunt with his stable boys… very strange. Finally after what seems like a year they do finally “do it”, and she becomes pregnant. This is about the half way point, this is when the movie for me goes down hill. You spend the rest of the move watching Marie eat, dance, buying shoes and put feathers in her hair. She ends up having two more children but they don’t really touch on them too much. The youngest one die’s (somehow) that was never explained. Once scene she has a painting of her with a child, the next a painting w/ out and then you see them at a funeral. So it’s kinda assumed that the child passed. Then the people really hate her and they flee the country.
I’m sure if i knew more about French history or Marie Antoinette, this movie would of been better.
I think this movie is good, I would feel bad saying that is was anything less then good. The reason I say this is b/c it was shot really well, I was stoked on the music, the outfits were amazing, the location was incredible (I think it was really filmed at Versailles) and the acting was believable (even Molly Shannon).
If I was to rate this I would say… 2.5 Madex’s out of 5.
