9 AM on Sunday March 18th at the Disneyland Gallery in New Orleans Square.

Disney will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Pirates of The Caribbean ride with an art show starting at 9 AM on Sunday March 18th at the Disneyland Gallery in New Orleans Square. The show will feature work of a select group of artists including Amanda Visell and Michelle Valigura. Both Amanda and Michelle have created original art that pays tribute to the classic ‘dark ride’. In addition, the event will serve as the release of a full line of ‘Pirates’ products created by Amanda. Be sure to check out the preview of the show — Amanda’s paintings are quite nice and sure to be snapped up by Disney collectors. Finally, for the hardcore Disney fans, several legends behind the creation of the classic ride will be in attendance.

Movie Posters 2.0

Say goodbye to over used floating head movie posters. Now the advertisers have to be more creative. XYZ RGB have developed a new way to print 3D holograms to present 8 seconds of film onto plastic. So we can now see lovers kiss, teens fuck apple pie, super man fly, and old people die all in the movie poster. Click here for a soccer sample of the technology.

this would be totally annoying, but awesome. when the alarm goes off you have to reconnect the three colored wires together in the correct (i assume always different) pattern or the thing makes a huge bomb noise.

of course in reality it’s probably one of things, much like sea monkeys, that will disappoint you terribly. the bomb explosion probably isn’t that cool.

still, let’s send one to brent

Local hero Josh has a Bike Gang, he’d like you to ride with us.

Every Tuesday @ 9pm Bike Gang Meets @ Benton and Sunset on the Silverlake / Echo Park boarder. Ride routes change weekly. Great way to learn the city, the parks, the bars and meet your neighbors. People from all over LA and OC ride with us. Hope to see some new faces.

Tuesdays 9pm

Benton and Sunset at the foot clinic. Also, vegan dining can be had before the ride next door to the foot clinic. (That sounds gross)
