I make my living working in Adobe programs. So when I saw this ad for Photoshop by Jung von Matt Hamburg it reminded me when I first started out; when it was fun to play around with images and create things that made me laugh. Now all my work is for clients so I don’t have time to make things for the sake of it.

I’m glad at least someone is still having fun with Photoshop.

Actress Uma Thurman and director Kathryn Bigelow are the two stars involved in the second Pirelli online movie. Last year the tires brand debuted in branded online entertainment with The Call, starring John Malkovich and Naomi Campbell. The new movie, “Mission Zero” has been created to promote the P Zero tyre and features a car chase with Uma Thurman driving a yellow Lamborghini.

I had a little trouble loading this movie. I was missing a plug in for my Firefox browser. So if you run into the same problem There is an option on the bottom (by the controls) to view the movie in quicktime format.

The Joint Custody Project is here.

This place is run by a cool guy named Johnny, this gallery space is awesome, come check it out.
Over the past 2 months, 48 local artists have undergone a blind collaboration, each unaware of his/her creative partner’s identity and unable to communicate with him/her. Also, 7 djs (the eye in i, paperjones, crza, chris tarantino, dj tony, goei!, & joey from kxlu) will also provide a collaborative set. If you’re curious as to how this is going to turn out, so am I.

So, come, this Saturday, February 24th from 6-8pm at Found Gallery, Silverlake. Free booze, free valet parking. Come on. I’ll be there.

The Amgen Tour of California February 25, 2007

Long Beach plays host to The Amgen Tour of California this weekend (this would explain the bike art around Ocean Blvd). The Event will have over 120 of the worlds top cyclist, many of them compete in the Tour de France. We are the last leg of the 650 mile tour through California. Other host cities include San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, San Jose, San Luis Obisbo, Santa Barbara and Santa Clarita. Once in the LBC the cyclist will have a 7-10 lap circuit race through the scenic, ocean front streets of Long Beach with a winner crowed on Feb. 25th. Oh yeah also there will be some extreme BMX and skateboarding (Mt. Dew Code Red not included).
