wes anderson

This film is free now on itunes. Download it. Natalie Portman is tastefully nude.

Even though Bumps says, “Natalie Portman looks like a holocaust grandpa”.

I say, “Hot, holocaust grandpa”.

Download it now.

Natalie Portman is my hotness. She could wear a Nazi commanders outfit while whipping puppies, and I would still LOVE HER.

holocaust grandpa is totally accurate. i have never felt so ripped off by something that was free before.

this is not a short film, it is a deleted scene.

perhaps the disinterest and lack of emotion that the two characters have for each other works in the context of the film, but since this is being released as a “companion” to the film make this a moot point. In the context of being a stand alone 13 minute movie, it’s a disaster. Knowing things like the history of these two, or the circumstances of their relationship would really come in handy, but you don’t any of that. all you get is natalie portman being underfed and contorting herself to cover up her naughty bits. i don’t buy her as sexy. you can’t be sexy if you are concerned with letting a nipple slip. sexy is the opposite of modesty.

i loved rushmore more than i have loved most films, but anderson needs a new schtick. this mini movie, as with my commentary of it (both your reading it and my writing it), was a total waste of time.

[...] See this film, it is worth it, the humor is spot on, simple and dry. I slide this behind Rushmore, while I don’t think I could watch it on a loop for the rest of my life, it was a a greater film about family, then Tannenbaum’s was. Plus, check out the short film Hotel Chevalier before you see The Darjeeling Limited, it makes more sense when you see the film in theaters and congratulates you as a viewer. [...]
