LARPING MFAO
I spent last weekend re-enacting a 19th century land survey camp in Old Town San Diego, and this weekend I will be camping out at Calico Mining Days Festival at Calico Ghost Town. There will be a dance, a steak cookoff, a bbq cookoff, a parad, a greased pole climbing contest and a beard and moustache competition.
My campsite holds 6, and I am going solo. So if you want to come and LARP with me, call me.

One time in Calico… a fellow boy scout got a rope tied to his belt and was lowered down into an abandoned mine shaft. Our adult leaders wanted to see if there was “any cool shit down there.” I was inches away from being part of a late breaking news special.
you know, one day you got to sleep thinking everythinbs good, everythings ok and the next thing you know you wake up and you’ve met a 60 year old cowgirl named howdy girl whose brother is being inducted into the calico hall of fame and his wife keeps buying you booze and calling you sugar and they invite you back to cowboy camp where they feed you chili and beef brisket and taters and carrots and gravy and rolls all made out of a dutch oven and when you are too full to move they shove home-made apple pie in your face and then they give you a glass of apple pie which consists of cider and grain alcohol and you are sitting next to an indian by the teepee and somebody gives you a cigar and you don’t even smoke but you wonder if you will get to go home.

I am jealous. I’ve been wanting to go to Calico and sleep in one of the cabins there for a while!!
