Dolphin Slaughter

I don’t eat meat, so slaughter across the board is fucked up, but Dolphins, need to be globally respected and untouched.

    what a sensationalized piece of crap.

    i am not saying that it’s ok to kill dolphins, yet it’s not really any less ok than killing anything else. in japan, people eat just about anything that comes from the sea. if dolphins were endangered or even slightly scarce (which i could be wrong about, but i’m fairly sure they aren’t) that would be one thing, but that isn’t what is mentioned in this “news” article. what they focus on is the little blond girl talking about how the baby dolphin looked up at her and then she starts crying. give me a fucking break.

    there are several things wrong with this scenario:
    a small group of white people are protesting this event. the main news sources are american or european. there might be a slight connection there.
    the news report is filled with anthropomorphic statements about the emotional state of the dolphins and the evil hearted intentions of the butchers…er…fisherman.

    maybe they don’t see it as evil, maybe in japan it’s just lunch? maybe brent can give us some insight on how this issue is being viewed in japan by the japanese. i’m not saying that what the japenese are doing is right, i’m just saying it’s not any less right than eating other animals and that the news coverage has been so one sided it’s sick.

    little blond girl from hollywood, how about you go home and protest the eating of less cute animals and leave the japanese alone.

    Get out of my ocean, you commies. USA IS #1! I am willing to bet that she had some fish sticks for lunch the next day. But there was never a sitcom in the 70’s starring a smart Catfish or cute Trout.
