We have a few traditions in my family at Christmas time. I always put the angel on the top of the tree, Grandpa always gets a sweater and then says “oh, just what I needed” and I always get Jelly Belly jelly beans in my stocking (yes, we still stuff stockings). However, this year the typical bag of Jelly Belly’s were replaced with a bag of Soda Pop Shoppe jelly beans.

Six soft drink flavors have been turned in to jelly bean flavors and surprisingly they are really accurate. Flavors include: 7UP®, Dr. Pepper®, Orange Crush®, Grape Crush®, A&W® Root Beer and A&W® Cream Soda.

You have to try these Jesus Beans, they are really good and highly addictive. I have only found them at a few stores. I would suggest buying the assorted bags (shown above) they have a good variety. Or you can be like me and order them online straight from Jelly Belly.

Joel McHale and “friends” at the Irvine Improv

Last night I went to see Joel Mchale with Tarasaidthat, patBenatard, Slowgun and Carole at the irvine improv and it was packed, we had to stand in the rain to get in. Joel was more of the MC of the evening, which, he drew a huge crowd and every one was there for him but he more or less introduced the comics. He was really funny, and cool, he pulled it off well, he’s not a true stand up comic, but his stage presents is fun and at least entertaining. He cut his elbow open on accident and trashed E! and said some great things you knew he’s been feeling about the programing over there. It was a bit insider stuff for fans of the show. It was great. The other comics, were mixed. Some really fat guy who had the body of Grimace was really funny, had great voices and a good routine, he was really amazing, and I suck for not remembering his name. Chris Hardwick, who was from singled out, I guess he is winning his battle with alcohol abuse, he lost 40 lbs and told everyone that he work up one day with his dick in a shoe and knew it was time to quit, he called drinking is like pouring smiles on your brain. haha. He turned out to be a big nerd, which was fun. He sang his Pi song,
He went on to say things like Ambercrombie and Fitch was gayer then cum on a mustache, and when you go in to buy a sweater, you leave with “secrets”. And that in the old days, Anal sex was called the Gentlemen’s Trolly.
The whole night came to a halt after that, a comic that looked like a character from dick tracy got up there and was white knuckling it, then the night fell to shit when K.P. Anderson the Executive Producer of The Soup got up there and Bombed, Bombed so hard I wanted to check my e-mail during the show. He was just an angry dude with a drinking problem, no material, no vision, no talent it was like a train wreck that wouldn’t stop slaughtering children over and over. He really made me realize how much Joel McHale saves that show, if he is the one writing it. Shit Jesus. Anyway, it was well worth it and Joel McHale I hope goes far, he has a great humor about celebrity, he called The Favor of Love, Flavor of Aids, and to that, he is poignant, and funny. There are two more shows tonight, if you want to go see Joel. It was well worth standing in the rain for him, K.P Anderson, not so much. Leave when he comes on.

A friend of mine at the Obey HQ sent this over to me, if your thinking about going you should try to go Friday. Most taggers, wannabe rebels and “fashion” dudes either A) Don’t get up before 11am. B) Are still in High School at this time. or C) Are working stiffs.

I have gone the last few sales and usually have found something that I have added to my wardrobe. Also, if you want your house to match your clothes then head over to The Marry Karnowsky Gallery for the Imperfect Union show. Once there you will find new work by Shepard Fairey.
