I came across this website of street artist’s works from this past year. Click the picture if you wanna see ‘em.  I find it funny how much I am interested in street art, but really hate mindless tagging. If your going to fuck it up, fuck it up proper.

Tomorrow night marks the debut of Gallery1988’s “Under The Influence” series with an homage to comic book legend, Stan Lee. 100 artists have created original work depicting their favorite comic book characters. This show is presented in association with their neighbors and landmark comic book store, Golden Apple.

This show includes the work of Eric Tan, Brandon Bird, Pooch, Jeff McMillan, Matt Dangler (seen above), Greg “Craola” Simkins, Kurt Halsey Frederiksen, Luke Chueh, Ryan Heshka, Angry Woebots, Travis Louie, Amanda Visell, Mark Bodnar and many more! This is one LA art event, you won’t want to miss.

The show opens tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8th with an opening reception from 7-11PM. The exhibition will run through February 1st. The opening reception is free of charge and open to all ages. Stan Lee will be attending the event and we suggest arriving early. Gallery1988 Los Angeles is located at 7020 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038. (323) 937-7088

I saw Sweeny Todd last night, and I was impressed, it was bloody as hell, and the musical aspect of it was fun cause its not something you see everyday. Music and blood gushing horror can make you squirm. The visual style is all Tim Burton, nothing new from him as far as his palette of actors and gothic wardrobe. But enjoyable non the less with all the head smashing and throat slitting.

I saw the film at my favorite theater the VISTA and just down the street down hollywood blvd is a barber shop named, Sweeny Todd. The dude inside, might have some revenge he needs to take care of on Hollywood Blvd.
