Wall*E is going to be awesome.
Early reviews of the film are saying that the film has a strong message about consumerism in the future as humans abandon earth leaving robots to clean it up so that maybe one day humanity could return. Looks like this is along the same lines as Mike Judge’s film masterpiece Idoiocracy took on a dumb fat de-volved human population.
They say in the film people are too fat to walk so they use hovering things to move about. Which is already happening at Dollywood and I am sure all the Disney theme parks. The message of bleak fat human existence seems to me like a bold move for Disney to make since they are at the forefront of consumerism, but art does imitate life and it is a pretty bold statement for a summer block buster, I can’t wait to check it out.
