The Vegan Spot - New to LA
Today I went to the opening of The Vegan Spot on Sunset just North of Sunset Junction in Silverlake. This cool girl Sarah just opened it up, along with the people from Flore. And I can’t stop jumping of the walls over how good it was.

I got the roast beef and cheddar sandwich. It was amazing, I got it in hopes that it would take like Arby’s. It didn’t, but it was super good, and not salty like I remember Arby’s tasting like.
Julie got the Club sandwich, The Bacon on it was soooo good and the turkey slices were incredible.
Jo got the Turkey Dinner sandwich, which was like Thanksgiving in between bread. It was also super good.
They also have vegan shakes, Both the Orange cream and 3 chocolate banana shakes were good to go.
I am so excited this place is within walking distance from my house. This vegan deli style place is perfect for Vegans who are sick of eating “healthy dishes”. I’m sure all these things are good for you, but with mac and cheese and nachos on the menu, you know its comfort food.
Go there this weekend. Try it out, and go back everyday like I plan on doing.

All of the foods were delicious!!! It’s fucking ridiculous how good it is… Plus Sara is one of the raddest people I know. She has a sleeve of rural farm scenes and paints paintings of her rats as saints:

I just got back from another trip there. I got the mac and cheese and it was creamy goodness.

I have a new love at The Vegan Spot, Its the Chef Salad. Its like no other salad, It comes with fake meat delights on top of course, but the vegan ranch dressing is so good, better then real Ranch. I’ve gotten it 10 times in a row there, so I guess that means its my favorite thing there. If you haven’t been there yet, you need to plan on going today.
