Laying in my bed just chatting away this afternoon the power cord busted into flames. I had to slap out the flame and unplug it from the wall.
Beware, I guess these things can burst into flames. I am really lucky I was here when it happened, this would have set my bed on fire so fast.
I’m taking my cord back to the Apple Store to show them how burnt it got. Beware of your laptop power cords bursting into flames.

So I got myself a Handy Switch. I don’t know if you’ve seen the TV Infomercials but this thing is amazing. You simply plug a lamp, radio, fan or whatever you want to control from another spot in the room. You plug the receiver into in outlet and plug whatever you want into the receiver and then you put the Handy Switch light switch wherever you want to control that item up to 60 feet away.
I have a light behind my sofa that I always have to climb over the sofa to turn on so I used the Handy Switch and put the switch right by the front door and now all I need to do is flick the Handy Switch when I walk in the door and presto my light turns on! I’m getting one for the bedroom too…this thing rocks! Sets up in a minute! I’m hooked on Handy Switch! (ha ha…I realize I sound retarded but you get one and you’ll see the magic! It’s possible this might also give you cancer…I’m just sayin’)
