and I should write a book about my dealings with crazy fucking people who own property in this town.

I responded to a very vague listing on Craigslist simply asking to set up a time to view the place, and I got this response:

Hello,
Its a great pleasure and  my gladness to receive your  email regarding my apartment .I am Rev Bill Watson ,the owner of the apartment you are making enquiry of. Actually I resided in the apartment with my family,such as my wife and my only daugther before and presently we had packed due to my transfer from my working place . the apartment is situated at Long Beach CA and presently my house is still available for rent for $700 per month ncluding the utilities like hydro,washer and security,it is furnised.Moreso Now, i went for a Crusade in the Western region of Africa  and i will like you to get in touch with my wife in the Spain for more discussion as She is with the keys and the document to the house.Pls i want you to note that,i am a kind and honest man and also i spent alot on my property that i want to give you for rent,so i will also i will solicit for your absolute mentenance of this apartment and want you to treat it as your own,is that taken,it is not the money the main problem but want you to keep it tidy allthe time so that i will be glad to see it neat when i came for a check up.i do that once in a while.I also want you to let me have trust in you as i always stand on my word.Where are you located and where do you see our advert also let us know if you need more pictures. email my wife (mrswatson2@gmail.com ) and she will attends to you better. Look… I don’t wear my glasses all the time. I have a pair, yes. They’re small, unobtrusive, they just do their job and get out of the way. Other people out there pump it up a bit. They get a few pairs, make a fashion statement, keep it middle of the road (i.e. bumps). These are a little larger than the normal pair that I rock from time to time, and these folks are usually the fashion forward crew.
