Deep inside Disney’s ‘MUPPET WAR ROOM’

Disney, the parental owner of the Muppets brigade, is positioning the furry horde to take over every facet of our commercialized planet. They coined the phrase MUPPET WAR ROOM as their comeback planning headquarters in Burbank. Let’s just hope that they remember us old farts who fell in love with them first, second or even third and fourth.

The Muppets showed up in the NY times last week, it was only today that it came to my attention.

The article speaks on how they are going to infuse the Muppets into a new generation who knows nothing about them, while trying to keep the adult audience happy as well. So expect to see movies, clothes, toys, build a Muppet stores and Ms. Piggy work out tapes. I am really happy their dusting off these timeless characters.

Los Angeles…Get Up and Grab Your Watering Can.

This is the most up lifting thing I’ve seen in a long time. Guerrilla Gardening has started in LA.

People are taking to public land and planting new gardens. The city it just too big for for the  city works to keep up on public space beautification.

Before

After

I really hope this catches on. This city has so many people in it, we could all make a change in how our streets look.

Thank you guerrilla gardening, I hope you start a revolution.

Coming from the spic and span street of glittering Mission Viejo, to the east side of Los Angeles where the past time consists of throwing trash on the sidewalk it is nice to see some people care about how our public spaces look. Every time I go visit my parents, I am greatly shocked at how freaking clean and well landscaped their city is. I’d take light rail and subways over new gardens any day, so I hope the city is saving their pennies for those projects. But until then, I hope they leave the guerrilla gardening alone, and if not encourage more acts of hoein’.

(plus, nice use of a Banksy graffiti image as their logo)
