R.I.P LUX INTERIOR

I have seen more Cramps shows then probably any other band. It’s true. I’m sad I never will again.
Lux Interior, front man of legendary punk band the Cramps, is dead.
Born Erick Lee Purkhiser on October 21, 1948 in Stow, Ohio, Lux Interior was one of the band’s founding members. In 1972, Purkhiser picked up a hitchhiker named Kristy “Poison Ivy” Wallace in Sacramento, CA. They fell in love and moved to New York City, where they formed the Cramps in 1976, along with Bryan Gregory and his sister, Pam. Though the backing line up has changed over the years, Lux Interior and Poison Ivy helmed the band together for over 30 years.
The Cramps have had too many impressive albums and singles to name here. Suffice it to say that they were among the first bands to fuse punk with rockabilly and that their music, style and ferocious performances have had an enormous influence on subsequent generations.

Cat plays keyboard and sublime still sucks
If you read whateves then it is no surprise that we HATE Sublime. They are talentless ass puppets that could be the worst thing to happen to music since Jimmy Buffett. This cat however, has more talent then Sublime ever had. I could watch this all day. What do you think? Can we get some kind of a poll on here?

Bodies of Water, “Under The Pines” Bodies of Water’s “Under The Pines” is a visionary tale of a greedy hunter who hunts for precious things found in house pets. This music video is great, its well worth the watch. Only watch it if you have the patience to see it though.
Antony Sheds glittered tears?
Funny, because I could have swore he’d cry tears of subway sandwiches and unanswered personal ads.
Antony & The Johnsons’s have a new video for the single, “Epilepsy is Dancing”. Directed by Wachowski Brothers, or is it post op siblings now? Looks like they shot it on the new RED camera that they did last summer’s Speed Racer with. It looks like a bunch of 80’s new york butterfly BS to me, but I can’t deny my love for Antony’s haunting voice. Check it out.
World of goo: Best game ever man.
Today is a great day, I’m so happy that whateves is back. For those of you who don’t know about WORLD OF GOO here is your introduction. This indie videogame made by 2D is availble for download on PC and MAC and the even sexier Wii from Wiiware download. At $15 dollars this is a must have. Connecting the goo balls to make structuers save the goos. The simplicity and music really bring this game full circle.
Today they are offering the soundtrack for free downlaod, I suggest you get it, its a great tip of the hat to Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer and Bernard Herrmann all done on a keyboard, lofi style.

Golden Girls Get their MTV debute.
While I know its the hip thing to claim love for the Golden Girls, but I honestly can’t figure out the recipe that made me watch countless episodes as a child. Check out this video from Pistol Youth’s In My Eyes directed by Isaac Rentz.
It give the girls a cultural love the same way Weezer gave props to Happy Days.
