Wonder Bread is back!

Did you even know it was gone?

Back in August 28, 2007, it was announced that Interstate Bakeries would end production of Wonder Bread in the Southern California market, leading to a loss of 1,300 jobs. This is due to the judgment in the suit and a decline in sales, as Southern Californians in particular are partial to whole-grain breads and “premium” loaves.

Wonder Bread is back and hopes to fatten you up quickly, its produced 6 days a week, you can tell which day the loaf of bread was baked by the different colored bag ties:

  • Blue = Monday,
  • Green = Tuesday,
  • Orange = Wednesday,
  • Red = Thursday,
  • White = Friday,
  • Yellow = Saturday.

delicious alert: Shasta Diet Cola

A few weeks back I bought some Diet Shasta as an alternate to Diet Coke. I was blown away. I know, I know I’m late to the game on this one seeing that Shasta is the ultimate cheep guy, living on your own, first apartment thing… but damm this stuff is good. It has a nice light cola taste and goes down silky smooth.

Since the first Shasta encounter my fridge has been fully stocked with “black gold” aka Shasta Diet Cola. I just cant get enough of it.

Pizza box of the future

Posted by psmynameisphil in design, something i ate on May 2nd, 2009 @ 2:14 pm

The pizza box of the future has many functions: container for full pizza, plates and container for left overs. This is a pretty clever way to fight waste and hunger at the same time.

Good News for Sugar!

pepsosugar

Looks like people [Corporations] are catching on to the fact that soda made from High Fructose Corn Syrup are fucking nasty. Plus, they aren’t good for you. Pepsi and Mtn. Dew are coming out with a throwback soda made from Real Sugar and Snapple is also jumping on the idea. This is one Beverage trend I can get excited about. The world gets to experience superior soda, why can’t America? Oh that’s right, we invented HFCS and have to pump our fat bodies with it.

If Pepsi tastes anything like Mexican Coke I’ll be buying huge supplies. I’ll also keep a pair of loose shorts around when I try Mtn. Dew with real sugar for the first time. Its almost guaranteed to make me hard.

In 2009 I’ve stopped eating anything with HFCS in it, I’ve lost over 30 Lbs. I haven’t stopped eating things made from real sugar. Its alarming how bad HFCS is to your system. Oh, and booze. No more booze.

Cooking with Mr. T

Posted by psmynameisphil in something i ate on November 6th, 2008 @ 10:17 pm

Now that Mr. T is not busy selling Snickers he has some free time on his hands selling the FlavorWave oven.

This infomercial is full of bad acting and tired catch phrases. Its really kinda sad to see such an icon of my youth turn out selling selling such a lame device. I kept waiting for Face or Murdock to bust through the door and save him.

At  1:36 he hits an all time low

Diet Coke Sucks.

Posted by sladehayes in Whateves Diet Challenge, White People Problems, rant, something i ate on November 3rd, 2008 @ 1:41 pm

I don’t drink, I don’t do any weird substances, I don’t smoke. I have 2 vices: soda and fried items. I know my soda. I can blind taste test Coke vs. Pepsi vs. RC and nail all three. I can tell you which quickie mart in my prefecture has the best fountain drink selection and I can mix up a concoction at said quickie mart soda fountain that will amaze you… I know my soda. I haven’t had a Diet Coke in about 6 months, if not longer. The wife has been buying Coke Zero for a LONG time, and its pretty good, along with Coke, and sometimes Mtn. Dew.
