Now, in a new neighborhood, there's one very close and extremely loud, squawking like a car alarm during the night. It just arrived in the last few weeks (San Deigo). I wish I could take a pellet gun to the little bastard, but they usually squawk from TV antennas or really high spots that make it tough in an area like this where the buildings are so close (no trees) and most of the neighbors probably sleep with guns under their pillows and would shoot back... There is absolutey no way to use a hose (stupid idea anyway), it's a very urban area with apartments very close together and no trees! I guess I'll need to ask how to get rid of THEM now, but I was thinking that maybe their sound might be effective in chasing away your mockingbirds.
